Business insurance

Additional insured

A party added to your policy so it shares the protection, common when a client or landlord requires it in a contract.

An additional insured is a party added to your policy by endorsement so that your coverage also protects them for claims tied to your work. It goes beyond what a certificate alone provides.

Contracts and some license arrangements ask you to name a partner or client as additional insured. Confirming the endorsement wording, not just handing over a certificate, is what actually delivers the protection promised.
